BACK TO THE "ROOTS" BY GUO PEI

To ensure us that Haute Couture still lives in its most dramatic and exclusive kind of the way we need to take a look at the Guo Pei Couture. This Chinese designer based in Beijing always brings the most exclusive and the most exciting couture on the scene. The fact that Guo Pei leans and takes the inspiration from the Chinese tradition her design is in the total Couture beauty and opulence. Something what here, in the Western culture has been missing in Couture sense, of course.

The latest Spring/Summer 2018 Couture Collection by Guo Pei has brought the divine and spectacular realizations and the pure drama on the runway. With the cool and amazing "Back To The Roots" concept which was done impeccable and stunning, Guo Pei has told us the story via couture. It was like we stepped into the magic "Midsummer Night´s Dream" woods full of adorable and breathtaking metamorphosis in fashion sense.

The woody branches which were impostation of the roots´ theme were golded. The gold theme was the highlight throughout the whole collection alluring the two antipodes or oxymoron codes; the nature on the one side pure and simple and by the alchemy refined high metal, the gold. Here we could see the perfect sense of the aesthetic and the vision of the couture-like the magnificent story-teller. It was boosted by the rich and wide structured silhouette which was almost in the sculpture kind of category. If we add to that the baroque-ness alike embroidery and arabesques then we have got the perfect Couture collection, something that crosses people mind when the word Haute Couture is mentioned.

With the strong visual aspects and the vision which was outstanding brought to the life, Guo Pei once again sets the new horizons on the couture sky offering us the pure drama with the experimental hints but still well envolved into the tradition which Pei re-interprets in the most exciting and globe-trotter kind of way!

What do you think about this collection? How do you find the theme which was presented in it and the sculpted silhouettes of the gowns?

Thank you for the attention!
